Description

The Web has widely been recognised as an important information delivery system for librarians. In order to remain relevant and respond adequately to the changing needs of the library user, libraries need to constantly look for new ways to acquire, deliver and make their information and services accessible.

This two-day masterclass will provide you with an opportunity to interact with the masterclass leader, the host organisation representatives and other attendees to learn how to implement the right Library 2.0 model in your organisation. You’ll be armed with techniques to:

  • Raise awareness and demonstrate the value of Library 2.0
  • Tackle entry barriers such as limited staff buy-in, limited resources and low staff skill levels
  • Offer a timely and customised experience to your library users
  • Improve the usability, accessibility and design of your library’s services and content
  • Market library services using social media strategies that engage your community
  • Develop a successful Library 2.0 strategy with limited resources
  • Design a training program for Web 2.0 tools for your library staff
